Lobkowicz Palace
Best day we had in Prague, where every day was wonderful, spent visiting the Lobkowicz Palace on Castle Hill. Got away from the hoardes of tourists and immersed ourelves in the history of this remarkable family who so generously share their rich heritage and holdings, including manuscripts by Beethoven, paintings by masters, etc., all beautifully presented. Would be of interest to anyone, even those not keen on art or museums, to take the audio tour. The cafe was casual, with great food, and the best views of Prague (I recommend the cheeseburger). Shop had gifts for everyone and especially helpful staff. It was not in my guide book because it is open only recently, so don't miss it.
