“A Must See! Go to the Roof!”

Cathedral (Duomo)

On a whim, I decided to make a stop-over in Milan enroute to India. With no information on the city, I made my way to the center of town and of course came across the famous Cathedral. While the inside was rather drab and boring, I quickly came to realize that you could climb to the top of the cathedral and what a treat! It cost 5 Euros to walk via the stairs (I am unceratin as to how much the elevator cost) and the views were magnificant!

IMPORTANT: If you take the stairs, you can wrap around the cathedral. BUT you must know to do the following:

-Walk over the long segment which would be considered the main section of the roof. If you make it to the front, there are more segments/areas to explore.

-Walk beyond the stairs in the opposite direction which says "lift." I assumed that the elevator was close to the stairs but it is not. If you continue towards the lift, you will find even more to explore and even more grand architecture and views.

I spent nearly 1 hour on a rainy day on the top of the Duomo and I loved every minute.
