Nymphenburg Palace (Schloss Nymphenburg)

Nymphenberg Palace was the summer palace of the Wittelbach's, the ruling family of Bavaria. It is really easy to get to, you just hop on the tram and there is a stop right in front of the Palace. When you go make sure you get the combination ticket that allows you entrance to the palace itself and also several buildings scattered throughout the extensive palace grounds. Finding the "out buildings" as my husband and I called them and then walking through them was such fun, definately the best part of visiting Nymphenburg! Allow at least half a day to see the palace and the other "out buildings". We received our map for the palace grounds and then spent several hours weaving our way through the grounds to get to all the "out buildings" that are scattered throughout the palace grounds. We finished our Nyphenburg experience with a delicious lunch in the outdoor cafe by the palm garden. This palace and the surrounding grounds are definately a must see while in Munich.
